The series' Los Angeles, built twice: in 1992 for San Andreas, around the gang neighbourhoods of the south, and again for Grand Theft Auto V, where it fills the southern half of the map and most of the story.
Built and rebuilt
3 games · 2 different versions
Grove Street survives the rebuild. San Andreas runs it through Ganton, where everything starts and finishes; GTA V moves it to Davis, a name the earlier city made famous.
Status climbs with the ground. Rockford Hills has the designer shopfronts and Michael De Santa; Richman's houses are set well back from anything that could be called a street; the Vinewood Hills have the view and the sign. Pillbox Hill has the tallest towers, and under them the hospital every failed job ends at.
