About GrandTheftAuto.World

Every Grand Theft Auto. Everything connected.

An independent reference for Grand Theft Auto players. Every game in the series has a page here, from the top-down original to Grand Theft Auto VI, and the missions, vehicles, weapons, characters and places are linked to the games they appear in, so a car, a face or a district can be followed from one title to the next.

It also keeps pace with GTA Online: what is paying out this week, what each business costs to start, and which prices are confirmed rather than rumoured. It is not Rockstar Games, and it does not speak for Rockstar Games.

What it does differently

Built from records, not adjectives

Counted, not claimed
Every number on the site is worked out from the records each time it is built. A figure typed into a page is right on the day it is typed and wrong after the next update.
Connected across games
A vehicle, weapon, character or place is one record with an appearance for each game it is in, so its page shows the whole run rather than one game’s version.
Unknown stays unknown
A price or detail that cannot be confirmed is marked as not confirmed. It stays that way until it can be, rather than being filled with a likely figure.
Weeks that end, end
GTA Online bonuses and discounts are published as a week with a start and an end, and leave the page when the week does.

How we check things

The short version

How we work

Every record is checked against the evidence it rests on before it is published, and a record whose evidence disagrees is held back until it is settled. Labels on a page say how well established a fact is, and they always mean the same thing. GTA Online weeks are reviewed before they appear, and GTA VI facts are re-checked when Rockstar’s own announcements change. Rumours are not presented as facts.

The full method, what each label means and how to report a mistake are on How we work.

For creators and journalists

Citing GrandTheftAuto.World

What you can cite

  • Figures from GTA statistics and the database pages, with the date they were counted.
  • The weekly summary on GTA Online this week, with the week it covers.
  • What is confirmed about GTA VI, from GTA 6 Start Here, with the standing each fact is given there.

How to cite it

Name the page and link to it. Short quotations and individual figures need no permission, as long as they come with a link back to the page they are from.

What not to do

Do not present a summary from this site as an official Rockstar Games statement. Where a fact comes from Rockstar, the page says so; the wording is ours. GrandTheftAuto.World is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive.

Spotted something wrong? The way to tell us is on How we work.
