Briefing
Franklin's first job for Simeon Yetarian is a repossession that is really a fraud: two convertibles taken back from a beach house, driven across Los Santos with the police in pursuit, and delivered to the forecourt of Premium Deluxe Motorsports.
It doubles as the game's driving tutorial, and it is the mission that introduces Franklin's special ability. The race against Lamar is not decoration — it is one of the Gold Medal criteria, which is the game teaching that its missions are scored.

Walkthrough
The race
Winning the race against Lamar is a Gold Medal criterion, so treat the drive to the dealership as a race rather than a delivery. Franklin's ability slows time for cornering — holding it through the tighter turns is also what satisfies the seven-second usage criterion, so both are earned on the same run.
Keeping the car clean
The damage criterion is the one most easily lost, and it is lost by trading paint while racing. Take the wider line into corners rather than braking late off another car, and use the pavement only where it is genuinely clear.
The studio lot
The route passes through a film studio where a scene is being shot. Avoiding the props there satisfies a criterion of its own, and it costs nothing — the gap through is wide enough at racing speed if you commit to one side early.
Gold Medal
4 criteria, all of which have to be met in a single run. Failing one does not fail the mission — it costs the medal.
Not a Scratch
Deliver the repossessed car with minimal damage.
The hardest criterion to combine with winning the race — take corners wide rather than braking off Lamar's car.
Focused Driver
Use Franklin's special ability for 7 seconds.
