Mission 9 of 105Story mission
The mission the last one was practice for. Carl drives Sweet, Ryder and Big Smoke into Ballas territory to hit four separate groups in turn, with his passengers leaning out of the windows the whole way and the police arriving long before the fourth.
It ends at a Pay 'n' Spray, which is the point at which San Andreas explains the other half of a drive-by: getting away from one. The respray strips the wanted level, and the crew still has to be driven home afterwards.
Carl drives throughout and the three passengers do the killing, so the job is to present them a target and hold still enough for them to hit it. Slowing to a crawl alongside a group works better than a pass at speed.
The groups are hit in sequence and the wanted level climbs as they go. Losing a passenger does not fail the mission, but it costs the firepower for the group after, so leaving a fight that is going badly is a reasonable call.
The Pay 'n' Spray is an objective rather than a suggestion. Drive in, wait for the door, come out clean — and only then take the crew back to Grove Street, because arriving home wanted restarts the problem.

Home in Los Santos after five years in Liberty City for his mother's funeral, and stopped by the same two police officers who drove him out. Rebuilding the family's standing turns into rebuilding most of the state's.
