GTA V

Doting Dad

Mission 69 of 83Story missionOptional

01/03

Briefing

Tracey calls about a man following her around the city. Michael finds him, and the player decides whether he survives the conversation.

The second optional family mission, and one of the few missions in the game with no Gold Medal criteria at all — there is nothing to optimise, only a choice to make.

02/03

Objectives

  1. Meet Tracey
  2. Locate the stalker
  3. Kill or spare the stalker
  4. Take Tracey home
03/03

Walkthrough

  1. Finding him

The stalker is marked once Tracey is picked up, and the drive to him is untimed. There is no scoring on this mission, so there is no reason to force the pursuit.

  2. The choice

The mission's only real content is whether the man is killed or let go. Neither outcome is scored, neither locks anything, and the mission completes either way — which is unusual enough in this campaign to be worth saying plainly.

  3. Getting home

Driving Tracey home ends the mission. If the stalker was killed in public the police may be involved; losing them is the only complication the mission can produce.
