Mission 11 of 105Story mission
Kendl's boyfriend is a Varrio Los Aztecas and Sweet wants a look at him, so Carl is sent to a lowrider meeting in Unity Station with a car that has to be built for it first. The garage in Willowfield is Loco Low Co., and hydraulics are not optional — a car without them cannot compete.
The competition itself is a rhythm contest against Cesar Vialpando, bouncing the car in time with the music for a wager. Carl wins, Cesar takes it well, and the two of them become the most reliable alliance in the game.
The mission needs a lowrider and hydraulics fitted at Loco Low Co. before it will let the meeting start, so the garage visit is the mission rather than a preamble to it. Anything else fitted there is cosmetic.
The contest scores each bounce against the beat, and the inputs are the suspension controls rather than the driving ones. Accuracy beats speed: a run of clean hits scores far better than mashing, and the wager is returned on top of the win.
