Mission 27 of 67Story missionOptional

01/03

Briefing

El Burro runs his business through a pay phone in Hepburn Heights and his first contract is not a crime at all. There is a street race starting and he would like it won, which requires finding something fast enough to win it in.

It is the first of four jobs from a man the player never meets, all taken from a phone box, all paid in cash, none of them ever explained.

02/03

Objectives

  1. Get a fast car and get to the starting grid.
  2. Congratulations you won, with an incredible time of (time) seconds.
03/03

Walkthrough

  1. The car is the mission

The instruction is to find a fast car before reaching the grid, and the race is against Diablos who are already in good ones. Turning up in whatever was nearest is the usual way to lose this.

  2. Win it outright

There is no partial credit — the contract pays on the win, and the time is reported back rather than scored against a target.

Left for dead by his partner during a bank job and freed from a prison transport by an explosion he had nothing to do with. Says nothing at all for the length of the story and works his way through every organisation in Liberty City regardless.

  • Gives the job

The head of the Diablos, running Hepburn Heights and a publishing sideline nobody asked him about.
