Claude comes back to the construction site and finds what Catalina left of Asuka and Miguel, and a note. Maria is alive and is worth five hundred thousand dollars, delivered in person, to a mansion in Cedar Grove.
Nothing is played. Every ally Claude has made in three acts is dead or gone by the end of this scene, which is what leaves one mission and one person left in the game.
No gameplay. This mission is a cutscene.

Left for dead by his partner during a bank job and freed from a prison transport by an explosion he had nothing to do with. Says nothing at all for the length of the story and works his way through every organisation in Liberty City regardless.

Shoots her partner on the steps of the bank they have just robbed and spends the rest of GTA III trading up through Liberty City's organisations. San Andreas, set five years earlier, shows her doing the same thing to somebody else.
