Decoy

Mission 51 of 67Story mission

01/03

Briefing

The police have found the warehouse at Pike Creek, so somebody has to give them something better to chase. Claude gets into a Securicar in front of a SWAT cordon and drives away with six stars on him.

It is the only mission in the game that hands the player the maximum wanted level deliberately, and the only one where surviving it is the entire objective.

02/03

Objectives

  1. Get over to Pike Creek and get in the decoy van.
  2. Now lead the cops away from the warehouse!
03/03

Walkthrough

  1. Six stars, without the army

Entering the van sets the wanted level to six immediately. The usual six-star response does not arrive — no soldiers, no tanks, no Barracks OLs — and what comes instead is an unending supply of police cars.

  2. No bribes, no shortcuts

Police bribes and wanted-level cheats are both disabled for the duration, so the only way through is driving.

  3. Stay in the van

Leaving the Securicar for any length of time fails the mission, as does letting it be destroyed. Keeping it moving and away from the warehouse is the whole of the job.
