What the Hangar is
A Hangar is a large aircraft garage at the city airport or at Fort Zancudo. It is also the base of an air freight smuggling business that you run with Ron Jakowski through Free Trade Shipping Co.
You do not have to run the business at all: plenty of owners keep a hangar simply to store and modify their aircraft.
What you get
- Storage for your personal aircraft, and a Cuban 800 that comes free with every hangar.
- An office computer that shows the cargo you hold and the steal missions you have completed, and from which every cargo mission starts.
- The option of an aircraft workshop, where your aircraft can be modified and where Charlie Reed sells upgrades for the Avenger, and of living quarters.
Before you buy
What you need
- Air freight cargo is run while registered as a VIP, CEO or MC President; either kind of organisation can take on the cargo missions.
How to start
Buy a hangar from Maze Bank Foreclosures and register as a VIP, CEO or MC President. The first cargo mission is normally a setup that sends you to steal a Mogul from the Lost MC.
How it runs and makes money
Fill the hangar by stealing cargo through missions launched from the office computer. Sourcing costs nothing, unlike buying special cargo, and there are many kinds of steal mission. Rooster McCraw can also be paid to bring in a crate or two without you playing a mission.
Each steal puts a wait on that type of cargo only, so you can move straight on to a different type.
Sell from the same computer. The kind of sale mission you get is random and has nothing to do with how much you are selling, so even a small sale can be a long flight. Ron takes a cut of every sale.
Holding a lot of one type of cargo earns a bonus when you sell, and the steps differ between the categories of cargo.

Playing alone
Most steal missions are built for one player, but a couple of variants only turn up when two or more players are in the organisation. Sales take up to four players, and some sale types need at least two, including the RM-10 Bombushka run, which needs a gunner.

Where you can buy it
Prices are shown only where confirmed. A cheaper site is not automatically a worse one: where your missions send you matters too.
There are hangars at Los Santos International Airport and at Fort Zancudo. LSIA Hangar A17 is the cheapest, and Fort Zancudo Hangar A2 the dearest.
A Fort Zancudo hangar lets you and the members of your organisation or MC into the base without drawing a wanted level; the airport hangars are cheaper.

Risks and common mistakes
Risks
Whether stored cargo can be raided is not confirmed yet.
Sales are flown or driven across the map, and some routes face armed opposition or police helicopters on the way.
Common mistakes
- Selling small amounts of mixed cargo: a sale can be just as long whatever its size, and a bigger stock of one type earns a bonus.
- Expecting a sale to be solo-friendly: some sale types need a second player, and the type is random.
- Trying to park stolen aircraft, CEO helicopters or mission aircraft in the hangar: they cannot be stored there.
Good to know
Before you buy
- The air freight business is run as a VIP, CEO or MC President, and the cargo missions work for either kind of organisation.

Setting up
- The computer in the hangar office runs the business through Free Trade Shipping Co and shows the cargo held and the steal missions completed.

Supplies
- Stealing air freight cargo costs nothing, unlike buying special cargo.
- Rooster McCraw can be paid to source cargo crates so that you do not have to play the mission yourself.
Cooldowns
- After a steal, the wait applies only to the type of cargo just collected; a different type can be sourced straight away.
Selling
- The type of sale mission is random and does not depend on how much is being sold, so even a single crate can mean a long delivery, and some types need two players.
- Holding many crates of one cargo type earns a bonus on the sale, in steps that differ between cargo categories.
- Ron Jakowski takes a cut of every sale.
