Money Fronts
What the Money Fronts is
The Money Fronts are three businesses — the Hands On Car Wash, Higgins Helitours and Smoke on the Water — run with Raf De Angelis for Mr. Faber's laundering network. The Car Wash is the hub and has to be bought first.
Each front earns passive income, presented as money washed through your wider criminal network, and each one also makes an existing business of yours more valuable.
What you get
- Passive income from every front you own, all paid into the safe at the Hands On Car Wash.
- Sale-value boosts for other businesses: the Car Wash for Counterfeit Cash, Smoke on the Water for the Weed Farm, and Higgins Helitours for Air Freight Cargo.
- Perks of ownership: free washes for your Personal Vehicles at the Car Wash, aircraft delivery to the Vespucci Helipad with Higgins Helitours, and a daily collectible with Smoke on the Water.
Before you buy
What you need
- Martin Madrazo has to bring you into the operation before the Hands On Car Wash goes on sale at Maze Bank Foreclosures.
- Higgins Helitours and Smoke on the Water can only be bought once you own the Hands On Car Wash.
How to start
Meet Martin Madrazo, who introduces you to the operation, then buy the Hands On Car Wash from Maze Bank Foreclosures.
Add Higgins Helitours and Smoke on the Water afterwards, in whichever order you like.
How it runs and makes money
Laundering missions and legitimate work are both started from the office computer in a front, or by calling Raf.
Each front has its own laundering missions. They add Heat to that front, and if its Heat fills up the front stops operating. A front carrying Heat shows a caution marker on the map and earns no passive income until it has been cooled down.
To bring Heat down, do the front's legitimate job: Car Wash for the Car Wash, Helicopter Tour for Higgins Helitours and Weed Delivery for Smoke on the Water. These jobs pay as well.
Running enough laundering missions for a front raises its passive income. Mr. Faber Work jobs count towards that milestone for all three fronts at once.
Money Laundering (Hands On Car Wash)

Money Laundering (Higgins Helitours)

Money Laundering (Smoke on the Water)
Contracts and jobs1–4 playersLaundering jobs for Smoke on the Water, from torching rival weed farms to taking out rival dealers. Each one raises its Heat.
Car Wash
Service work1 playersHonest work at the Car Wash: clean customers' cars and bring them back for payment. It lowers the Car Wash's Heat.

Service work1 playersHonest work for Smoke on the Water: deliver bales of product from the business. It lowers its Heat.
Mr. Faber Work
Contracts and jobs1–4 playersJobs Raf passes on from Mr. Faber's clients, with bonus objectives that add to the pay. They count towards the income milestone of every front.
Money Fronts passive income
Passive incomeEach front pays into the Car Wash safe while its Heat is below the maximum, and pays more once its laundering milestone is reached.
Playing alone
The legitimate jobs are for one player, and the laundering missions and Mr. Faber Work take from one to four, so the fronts can be run entirely alone.

Where you can buy it
Prices are shown only where confirmed. A cheaper site is not automatically a worse one: where your missions send you matters too.
Each front is a single fixed business rather than a choice of sites. Higgins Helitours operates from the Vespucci Helipad.

Risks and common mistakes
Risks
The main thing to manage is Heat: laundering raises it, and a front at full Heat stops working until legitimate work brings it down.
No raids on the fronts are described.
Common mistakes
- Trying to buy Higgins Helitours or Smoke on the Water first: the Car Wash must come before either.
- Running laundering missions back to back without legitimate work in between, which lets Heat build until the front shuts down.
- Looking for the income at each front: every front pays into the Car Wash safe, and only there.
- Shopping for upgrades: apart from an interior tint, the fronts have nothing to buy.
Good to know
Before you buy
- The Hands On Car Wash is bought from Maze Bank Foreclosures once Martin Madrazo has brought you into the operation.
- Higgins Helitours and Smoke on the Water can be bought only after the Car Wash, and then in either order.
Safe income
- The passive income of every front goes into the safe at the Hands On Car Wash and can only be collected there.
- A front's passive income goes up once enough laundering missions have been done for it, and Mr. Faber Work counts towards that for all three fronts together.
- The fronts' income is presented as money from your wider criminal network passing through them.
- An award keeps track of the laundered income you collect from the Car Wash safe.
Meters
- Laundering missions add Heat to the front they belong to, and a front whose Heat fills up stops operating.
- A front with Heat carries a caution marker on the map and must be cooled with legal work before it earns passive income again.
- Every front has a legitimate job of its own that both pays and lowers its Heat: Car Wash, Helicopter Tour or Weed Delivery.
Setting up
- Laundering missions and legitimate work start from the office computer in any front, or with a call to Raf.
- Other than an interior tint, none of the fronts has anything to buy for it.
- Mr. Faber Work jobs are separate from freemode: Raf passes them on from Mr. Faber's clients, and their bonus objectives add to the pay.
