Bail Offices

What the Bail Office is

The Bail Office is Maude Eccles' bounty-hunting operation, which she passes on to you when she retires. Her daughter Jenette Eccles stays on as your assistant and briefs you on each target.

Money comes from the bounties you chase yourself, paid once a live capture has been processed, and from optional agents who work their own jobs and pay into the office safe.

What you get

  • A computer offering a few standard bounties at a time and one high-value Most Wanted target each day.
  • A holding cell where live captures are processed, and a garage below the office for the bounty van and a few personal vehicles.
  • The Declasse Burrito (Bail Enforcement) van, the only vehicle that can carry a captured fugitive, which can also be armoured and driven in Freemode.

Before you buy

What you need

  • Take Maude Eccles' phone call, then buy one of the offices on Maze Bank Foreclosures. No other business is needed first.
  • The bounty computer only works while you are registered as a CEO, VIP or MC President.

How to start

Answer Maude's call and choose an office on Maze Bank Foreclosures. If you played her earlier Bounty Target missions the call is different, but those missions are not needed.

Register as a CEO, VIP or MC President before sitting at the bounty computer, which will not work otherwise.

How it runs and makes money

Choose a target from the computer. Standard targets can be chased as often as you like, while the Most Wanted target can be done once a day; every bounty stays replayable whatever happened last time.

Bring the target in alive by incapacitating and disarming them — a stun gun is one way — and the van appears at the arrest site to carry them back to the holding cell. Alternatively, kill the target and deliver the body to Murph at the County Coroner, for far less money.

Live captures are processed in the holding cell over time, and the bounty is paid to your wallet once that is done. Hired agents shorten the wait, and can be sent out on jobs of their own whose earnings land in the safe.

  • Standard Targets

    Contracts and jobs1–4 players

Lower-value bounties picked from a small set on the office computer, repeatable as often as you like.

  • Most Wanted Targets

    Contracts and jobs1–4 players

A single high-value fugitive each day, drawn from a short list of named targets.

  • Agent work

    Passive income

Hired agents go out on their own jobs and add what they earn to the office safe.

  • Holding-cell processing

    Passive income

Live captures are processed over time before their bounty is paid to your wallet.

Playing alone

Bounties can be started alone or with up to three others. Since the van is brought to you at the arrest, you can travel to a target in whatever vehicle you like.

GTA+ members can send staff out and collect safe earnings remotely through the Vinewood Club app.

Figures

Only values two independent checks agree on. Payouts can change with updates, bonuses, lobby and difficulty.

  • Agents

Enforcement agents, one or two, who carry out jobs of their own that pay into the safe and who shorten the time live captures take to process.

Where you can buy it

Prices are shown only where confirmed. A cheaper site is not automatically a worse one: where your missions send you matters too.

There are five offices: Paleto Bay, Davis, Del Perro, Mission Row and Downtown Vinewood. Paleto Bay is the cheapest and the farthest from the city; Downtown Vinewood costs the most.

Risks and common mistakes

Risks

Killing a target instead of capturing them pays far less than bringing them in alive.

The Most Wanted target changes every day, so one you pass over will not be waiting the next day.

Common mistakes

  • Settling for a dead delivery when a live capture was possible, which pays far less.
  • Forgetting the daily Most Wanted target, which can only be done once a day.
  • Skipping the agents, who are the business's only source of income that needs no bounty from you.

Good to know

Before you buy

  • After Maude Eccles calls to offer her business, one of five offices is bought on Maze Bank Foreclosures; nothing else is required.
  • The bounty computer works only while registered as a CEO, VIP or MC President, in any kind of Free Mode session.

Links to other businesses

  • Once the office is bought, Maude steps back and her daughter Jenette takes over as assistant, briefing the player on every target.
  • Having played Maude's earlier Bounty Target missions changes her opening call, but they are not needed to buy the office.
  • Madrazo Hits are among the jobs tied to the Bail Office.

Selling

  • A target can be brought back alive to the holding cell, or killed and taken to the County Coroner; a dead delivery pays far less.
  • Fugitives can only be carried in the bounty van, which appears when the job begins and is moved to the arrest site, so any vehicle will do for reaching the target.

Setting up

  • Taking a target alive means incapacitating and disarming them first, with a non-lethal weapon such as the stun gun or by wounding them.
  • Standard targets come in themed groups of three, built around the Kkangpae, the Ballas, street punks, The Lost MC, a mansion and the Duggans.
  • The bounty van can be fitted with armour plating and driven in Freemode.

Cooldowns

  • The Most Wanted target is available once a day, Standard targets have no such limit, and every bounty can be replayed whatever its earlier outcome.

Production

  • A live capture is processed in the holding cell over time and its bounty is paid to the wallet when processing ends; agents make this quicker.

Safe income

  • Agents can be sent on jobs of their own, and what they earn is added to the office safe.
  • GTA+ members can send Bail Office staff on jobs and collect business safe earnings remotely through the Vinewood Club app.

Storage

  • A garage beneath the office keeps the bounty van alongside a few personal vehicles.

What it unlocks

  • Trophies mark progress in the office: a certificate and a golden sheriff star for completing enough bail target missions, and golden handcuffs for bringing in every unique bail jumper alive.

What it connects to

Linked businesses

It runs on its own: no other business feeds it or depends on it.
