The garage in Doherty has become Wang Cars and needs stock, and the way it gets stock is Cesar spotting something worth taking and Carl taking it. The first is an Alpha with a tracker in it, which means following the signal rather than the car.
This is the first of five optional deliveries for the showroom. Each pays and each puts a specific vehicle on the forecourt afterwards; the strand ends with the showroom paying out on its own.
The trail cools if Carl falls too far behind and there is no marker to drive to — the objective is about maintaining contact rather than reaching a destination. Keeping moving in roughly the right direction beats stopping to look.
The car is the delivery, so the drive back to Doherty is part of the job rather than an epilogue to it. Wheel Arch Angels opens off the back of this, which is what the strand is really for.
