Cesar enters Carl in a country race outside Montgomery and one of the drivers on the grid is Wu Zi Mu, who runs the San Fierro Triads and who is completely blind. He wins races anyway, which is the joke the character is introduced with and the reason Carl remembers him.
The race pays $5,000 and opens the racing tournaments across the state. Woozie becomes the most dependable ally Carl has for the whole of the middle of the game.
The race begins with a choice of vehicle and the grid is a mixture of what Red County has — a Sabre, a Stallion, a ZR-350. Taking the fastest thing on offer matters here because the course is long enough for a quick car to pull away rather than a handling course where it cannot.
The route starts south of Montgomery and runs through Blueberry and Blueberry Acres to finish at The Panopticon. It is rural road the whole way, with ordinary farm traffic still on it, so the run is won by braking for the blind bends rather than through them.

Home in Los Santos after five years in Liberty City for his mother's funeral, and stopped by the same two police officers who drove him out. Rebuilding the family's standing turns into rebuilding most of the state's.
