Mission 51 of 105Story missionOptional

01/04

Briefing

The last of Zero's war is fought entirely by proxy: an RC Bandit has to reach Berkley's base, and Berkley's Goblin spends the whole mission putting things in its way. Carl clears the path rather than driving the Bandit into a fight.

Winning it turns the RC shop into an asset that pays out on its own, which is what the strand has been building to since Carl bought the place.

02/04

Objectives

  1. Remove any obstructions so the Bandit can reach Berkley's base
  2. Berkley's Goblin will keep trying to block the Bandit's path — clear it so the Bandit can continue
03/04

Walkthrough

  1. Two vehicles, one job

The Bandit is what has to arrive and the Goblin is what stops it, so the mission is a matter of dealing with the obstruction rather than racing. Nothing is gained by pushing the Bandit ahead of a cleared path.

  2. Keeping it moving

The Bandit is fragile in the way everything in this strand is fragile, and the obstacles Berkley drops are as dangerous to it as any attack. Clear ahead of it rather than beside it.
