Mission 33 of 105Story mission
The Truth farms marijuana in Flint County and needs a combine harvester, and the one he has in mind belongs to a farm full of survivalists who will not take kindly to a stranger in the field. Carl is sent to take it.
It is the mission that puts the country rifle in Carl's hands, and the first job in the game where the opposition is neither a gang nor the police. The harvester itself is the slowest vehicle in San Andreas, which is the whole problem with the drive home.
The survivalists are armed and spread across the property in groups rather than gathered in one place. Working the approach from a distance with the rifle the mission hands over is considerably cheaper than walking into the field.
The harvester cannot run and cannot be defended, so the fight has to be finished before the theft rather than during it. Anything left standing on the farm has an easy target for as long as the drive lasts.

Home in Los Santos after five years in Liberty City for his mother's funeral, and stopped by the same two police officers who drove him out. Rebuilding the family's standing turns into rebuilding most of the state's.
