Carl goes out to the hideout at Fern Ridge to make peace, and Catalina makes him work for it. She tests whether he means it, he offers to rob banks with her, and she decides that she loves him — which in her case is not reassuring.
The scene has no gameplay in it. What it does is open the robberies: three of the four become available afterwards, and which three depends on what has already been run in this strand.

Home in Los Santos after five years in Liberty City for his mother's funeral, and stopped by the same two police officers who drove him out. Rebuilding the family's standing turns into rebuilding most of the state's.

Shoots her partner on the steps of the bank they have just robbed and spends the rest of GTA III trading up through Liberty City's organisations. San Andreas, set five years earlier, shows her doing the same thing to somebody else.
