Mission 6 of 90Story mission
A cab fare that is not a cab fare. Roman sends Niko to collect a customer in Rotterdam Hill, and Jermaine turns out to want driving to a meeting that goes wrong, at which point the police are involved and the fare becomes an escape.
It is the mission that introduces the search radius — the circle the police draw on the map — and the first time the game asks Niko to get out of one.
An ordinary pick-up and drop until it is not. Nothing about the first half needs handling carefully.
Two stars arrive on reaching Masterson Street. The circle on the map is the area being searched and it grows with the wanted level, so the job is to leave it rather than to outrun anybody inside it.
The recommended escape is the main streets and the highway rather than the back streets: the open road lets the car move, and the speed is what puts the edge of the circle behind Niko. Once the stars clear, the drop resumes.
Who this mission brings together, and the ground it covers.
