Call and Collect

Mission 35 of 90Story mission

01/03

Briefing

Francis McReary is a deputy commissioner with a blackmailer, and his solution to having a blackmailer is to acquire a man who kills people. The job is to identify the blackmailer in a crowd by ringing his phone and watching who answers.

It is the most inventive of Francis's missions and the only one that asks the player to look rather than shoot — at least until the identification is made.

02/03

Objectives

  1. Go to the viewpoint off Union Drive East
  2. Call the blackmailer's cell and look to see who answers their phone
  3. Keep him talking until you identify him
  4. Pick up the storage device
  5. Take the photographs on the storage device to Francis

Walkthrough

  1. The call

Francis texts the number. Ring it from the marked viewpoint and stay on the line — hanging up early loses him.

  2. Listening for him

The tell is audio rather than visual: standing close enough, his voice arrives twice, once down the phone and once from the man himself. Going down the stairs rather than staying at the top puts Niko among the crowd where that works. He is on a bench at the bottom of the right-hand stairs, in a yellow hood and a grey coat.

  3. The storage device

It has to be taken off the body, and two stars follow the killing. Clear them before delivering the photographs to Francis.
