The story

While Billy Grey sat out court-ordered rehab, Johnny kept The Lost's Alderney chapter running from the clubhouse in Acter and made what peace he could. Billy comes back clean and wants every one of those truces undone.

Liberty City's other stories cross this one. Niko Bellic is on the far side of the museum deal, and Luis Lopez is already at the diamond exchange, before any of it is his.

The series' stand-in for New York, and the setting of eight Grand Theft Auto titles. The 1997 original drew it from overhead as one of three cities; the 3D era built it as three islands, opened one bridge at a time; the HD era rebuilt it from scratch as four boroughs with the state of Alderney across the water.
