GTA IV: The Ballad of Gay Tony
01of 26
Mission 1 of 26Story mission
Tony Prince runs two of the best nightclubs in Liberty City and is losing both of them, slowly, to debts he will not discuss and a temper he cannot manage. Luis Lopez is his head of security, his driver and increasingly the only adult in the building, and the episode opens with the least dramatic version of that job: two club visits and a lift home for his friends.
It is a tour rather than a test — Hercules, then Maisonette 9, then Northwood — and the point of it is to establish the three places the episode keeps coming back to and the two men, Armando and Henrique, who Luis grew up with and keeps failing to leave behind.
The whole of the first half is driving: Tony to Hercules in Westminster, then across to Maisonette 9, then time on the floor of the club before the night moves on.
Nothing shoots at Luis in this mission, which makes its three scoring conditions purely a driving test — the run has to be finished inside four and a half minutes with the car essentially unmarked. Taking the direct route between the two clubs is the whole of the technique.
Armando and Henrique go back to Northwood and Luis goes on to his own apartment, which unlocks as a safehouse.
