Mission 13 of 26Story mission
Yusuf takes a meeting at the top of Rotterdam Tower and brings Luis as insurance, which turns out to be the correct decision. When it goes wrong the way down is not the lift.
This is where the episode hands the player a parachute and stops pretending it is the same game as GTA IV. Everything that makes The Ballad of Gay Tony feel different — the height, the helicopters, the jump — is introduced in one mission.
The lift takes Luis to the top of the tower and the meeting with Ahmed goes as these meetings do.
Ahmed runs for the mast and the chase goes upwards rather than down, with six headshots and seventy per cent accuracy wanted along the way.
Helicopters come in against the tower and the scoring asks for four of them to be destroyed, which is the condition most likely to cost a run its four-minute-ten clock.
The way off the tower is the parachute. One condition rewards a genuine free fall before the canopy opens rather than pulling it immediately, which is the game teaching the mechanic it spends the rest of the episode using.
